Welcome. We've Saved a Seat for you Here.

RIO East Church is a church associated with the RIO Network in East Tennessee. RIO is an acronym that stands for Restoration International Outreach. Currently, RIO has several churches spread over East TN, as well as numerous church-plants around the globe. RIO has a passion for world-missions, as well as taking the gospel to our own neighborhoods.

Our church at East is a knit body of believers who come together in sincere worship to lift the name of Jesus higher each day. We are built upon four pillars: the word of God, sincere worship, serving others, and seeing souls being added to the Kingdom of God.

Our church is underneath the Church of God denomination based out of Cleveland, TN. To find out more about our doctrinal teachings and beliefs read our Statement of Faith.

We are a close-knit, family-oriented church that is passionate about seeing our community transformed by the power of the Holy Ghost and the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Here, the truth is taught and the Spirit has full liberty.

We welcome ANYONE and EVERYONE to encounter God with us. It's our belief that no person should ever be excluded from meeting Jesus or from being loved by His people. Regardless of what background you come from, or what you may have done or experienced in your life - we invite you to give church a chance. It takes each of us to help build the Kingdom. We'll try our best to be the avenue to Christ that you need.

We Believe:

01.
In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.
02.
In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
03.
That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.
04.
That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of Godfor all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.
05.
That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
06.
In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.
07.
Holiness to be God's standard of living for His people.
08.
In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.
09.
In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
10.
In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
11.
Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.
12.
In the Lord's Supper and washing of the saints' feet.
13.
In the pre-millennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.
14.
In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
